Sun is coming back again this weekend! Make yourself a nice Boho headband and you are ready for those sunny days!
I love leaves as you allready know and that is why I made a headband to wear in spring/summer to protect my hair against the sun and it looks quit boho don’t you think?
The model is my daughter and on the photos you can see you can wear the headband folded as well to make it smaller if you like. You can also wear it as a small summer scarf.
I used lana grossa elastico and hooksize 3,5 to make it and the pattern I used is based on a pattern I found on ravelry. You can find the pattern here:
The designer approved for others to design their own stuff with this stitch.
Pattern: Chain 20 Row 1: Tr in 5th chain from hook (4 skipped ch count as first tr); tr in each chain across row; turn (17tr).
Row 2: Chain 4 (counts as first tr); tr in each of next 3 tr; make leaf ; skip next 4 sts; sc in next st; make leaf; skip next 4 sts; tr in each of next 4 tr, ending in top of turning chain; turn ( 8tr, 2 leaves,1sc) .
Row 3: Chain 4 (counts as first tr); tr in each of next 3 tr; make leaf; tr in st between two leaves of previous row; make leaf; tr in each of next 4tr, ending in top of turning ch; turn (9tr, 2 leaves).
Repeat Row 3 —- until preferred length is obtained.
Ending Row 1: Chain 4 (counts as first tr); tr in each of next 3 tr; ch 4; dtr in st between leaves of previous row; ch 4; tr in each of next 4 tr, ending on top of turning chain; turn (8tr, 8ch, 1dtr).
Ending Row 2: Chain 4 (counts as first tr); tr in each of next 16 sts,(17tr) finish off .
I changed it a bit: I used double crochets instead of triples from row 3 (leaf with triple) double crochet between the leaves. you can decided for yourself how long your headband will be.
Hope you enjoy making your own crochet project with this stitch.
